POSITION DETAILS
Seasonal Position: 4 Months, Start Date: 6/16/2026, End Date: 9/7/2026
Hours: Part Time 24 Hours/Week, 288 hours Total
Schedule: 8 Hour Shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Hourly Rate: $18.64 - $22.88
POSITION PURPOSE
This person carries out the daily duties of office worker/ reservationist by providing service for the purpose of promoting return business.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Make Marina reservations, changes, and cancellations using a computer.
- Collect fees and make change.
- Explain and enforce rules and regulations of the marina.
- Promote positive customer service
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greeting the public using positive public relations and image to the City’s benefit
- Responsible for the opening and closing of the office as scheduled.
- Use specialized computer software program to make reservations, changes, and cancellations for the Marina.
- Answering the phone in a polite and professional manner using good public relations.
- Responsible for the registration and check-out of guests
- Advise public of rules and regulations related to use of the Marina and its facilities
- Provide knowledge of the area and events to the public.
- Collect fees from public for launching and other uses of the Marina
- Reconcile daily work using computer program and cash drawer.
- Responsible for documenting all complaints and accidents according to procedure
- Responsible for making marina slip checks to compare Registrations with Boaters in
- Marina.
- Keep boat launch and driveway clear of debris
- Maintain grounds, buildings, docks, and slips on a daily basis
- Weeds all flower beds in Marina Area
- Responsible for the daily cleaning and neat appearance of the marina office inside and out.
- Responsible for the cleanliness of the Marina men’s and women’s restrooms
- Perform other duties as assigned
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Work is performed in an office setting and outside in a marina environment
- Employee will spend prolonged periods outside in the elements.
- Will be working in and around water.
- Appropriate preventive measures to sun exposure need to be taken.
- Employee is subject to shift work and working weekends and on all major holidays
PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
- This position requires the ability to understand and speak English.
- Must be able to hear instructions given.
- Must be able to operate a computer.
- Must be able to lift 20 lbs.
- Must be able to see for traffic control.
- Must be able to swim.

- Knowledge of rules and regulations of marina
- Knowledge of opening and closing procedures
- Knowledge of facilities and equipment used in the operation of the Marina
- Knowledge of Chelan area to inform public of history, events, activities, and services
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Valid Washington State Driver’s License with driving record free from serious or frequent violations.
- CPR and First Aid Certificates.
